Douglas Brake and the Sizzle, Hiss Pop Band - Children's Music at its Best!

Fall is here and that means the Sizzle, Hiss, Pop Band will be performing at various Fall Festival and birthday parties playing our "Kid-Sized", family flavored music around Georgia. We have some great new tunes to share with you so come join us for some out-of-control singing and dancing.

This is our first appearance at this event and from what we have been told, Choomp and Stomp is one of the premiere fall festivals in Atlanta. Family friendly with music on three stages. Admission is free and you will want to purchase a $5 tasting spoon to get your fill of a wide variety of chilis. Food trucks and all sorts of arts and crafts will be attending as well so come on down, grab a tambourine, Douglas Brake Bracelet and Sizzle, Hiss, Pop CD and let the fun begin. Douglas Brake - Lead Vocals, Acoustic Guitar. A native and resident of Atlanta for 40 years, I have enjoyed and been involved with the Atlanta music scene since the late 80's. Becoming a Dad 6 years ago lead me down the surprising pathway of writing and performing kid flavored music which culminated in Douglas Brake and The Sizzle, Hiss, Pop band. I can say, without a doubt, that I have never had so much fun or felt so fulfilled as I do when family, friends and new fans gather to sing, dance and play along with us in what I like to call an "Amplified Dose of Silliness".

Greg Peay - Bass, Backing Vocals. Greg abandoned his burgeoning career in mime and the art of clowning to pursue more humane and less scary ways of entertaining young people. As a UGA student, Greg excelled in an elective class, Building the Dulcimer. Originally a guitarist, he moved to bass after drawing the shortest straw to Doug and Ratzel.

Tony Tiberia - Drums, Percussion, Backing Vocals. Tony has been playing drums for over 30 years and has a huge love of all types of music. After retiring from the grown-up rock and roll scene many years ago, Tony is thrilled to be back behind his drum set and part of the SHPB. "Playing Kid's music keeps me young. It's so exciting to see all the little ones (older ones too) singing and dancing along with us."

Chuck Bell - Keyboards, Accordian, Percussion, Backing Vocals. Keyboardist and musical utility man, Chuck began banging on the piano at the age of three. It wasn't until he was five that his piano skills began the refinement process. His love of musical instruments continues today and despite that fact that he owns three accordions, his friends still hang out with him.

Greg Ratzel - Electric Guitar, Lead Penny Whistle, Backing Vocals. Punished with piano lessons at a young age when he misbehaved, Greg later developed a passion for Beethoven mixed with Led Zeppelin "just to show them". He is now a multi-instrumentalist and hacker whose misguided interest in music is only eclipsed by his misguided interest in electronic gadgets.
